Hi there: I’m Ashish.

Photography has been my passion for most of my adult life. My interest in photography began with nature and landscapes, then slowly expanded into cityscapes, architecture, and culture, which eventually led me to the art of portraiture—where emotion and human connection take center stage. Today I offer thoughtfully crafted portrait sessions, both in my studio and outdoors, for families, couples, and individuals. I also photograph events and celebrations to preserve memories of life’s most precious milestones.

My studio is located in the quaint suburb of Westford, about 25 miles northwest of Boston. I also offer outdoor portrait sessions in beautiful natural settings across a number of nearby locations. Currently, Canon’s state-of-the-art R5 mirrorless camera body is my main workhorse, alongside my trusted 5D Mark IV DSLR and an extensive collection of RF and legacy EF lenses. For outdoor portrait sessions, I often reach for the venerable 85mm f/1.2 RF lens to create dreamy, extremely shallow-depth-of-field portraits. In my studio, I strive to create dark, moody, and timeless portraits shaped by the subtle interplay of light and shadow.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my love for travel, where my passion for photography truly began. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to explore five different continents—sometimes chasing the elusive aurora in the far north of Norway, sometimes wandering the African Savannah in search of the elusive leopards, or getting lost in the blue alleyways of Chefchaouen in Morocco. Travel rejuvenates me and continually inspires my photographic style. The colors, cultures, and moments I encounter in my journeys deeply influence the art I create behind the lens.
